Hello Kind Person!
My name is Mario Arcangeles and I am serving as the VP for Your Filipino Professionals Association (YFPA). Our mission is to Connect, Educate and Serve our community and build a strong professional network by providing resources such as: Scholarships, Networking Mixers, as well as Educational service activities for our community.
Growing up in the Bay Area, I was unfamiliar with my roots and was unaware there were other Filipinos here in San Francisco until I started Middle School. My goal and reason for joining YFPA is to build a network for young professionals looking to pave the way for themselves and other future go getters. Growing up, I've always heard people say "I wish I knew about a program or resources like this when I was your age" Let's bring that to an end and connect our community together. I believe knowledge is more valuable than gold, let's spread the wealth.
YFPA has given many high school graduates involved in the Filipino community scholarships for those looking to further their education. However; this year we celebrate our 10th anniversary of our Scholarship program by expanding our reach to those currently pursuing AA Degrees, Bachelor's, Phd, Masters and Trade School programs. Additionally, we plan to include more professional development plans such as Toastmaster's, Professional Panels, Interview and Resume workshops and more.
Also consider contacting your HR department and ask if your organization has a matching donation program. Your donation can then be doubled and go towards YFPA! Contact me if you have any questions.

Happy Holidays! Tis the season for Giving Tuesday! GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of radical generosity. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, it has grown into a year-round global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
We appreciate your support and continuing to Connect, Educate, and Serve with YFPA, Your Filpino Professionals Association. Please consider donating to YFPA as we have a holiday goal of raising $10,000 to celebrate our upcoming 10 Year Anniversary of our YFPA Scholarship Program.
Our YFPA Scholarship Program was launched in 2014 to support Bay Area High School graduating seniors involved in the Filipino Community. In 2024 we plan to expand our scholarship program to include Post Secondary Students currently pursuing AA degrees, Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD programs, and Trade Schools!
Consider donating to YFPA and inquire with your HR department if your company has a matching donation program. YFPA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and may qualify for your company’s matching donation. For example, if you donate $100, and your company has a matching program, they will also donate $100 towards YFPA.
You can also support as a Fundraiser and creating your own Peer to Peer campaign. Share your donation page with your network and help support our fundraising efforts!
